Well I just purchased a Certified Pro-Owned 2006 BMW X3 3.0 and after the excitment of owning my first BMW started to die down I realized that the exterior paint has been a little neglect. You can see swirl marks and some like scratches in certain areas of the door. I want to use the Scratch X, Clay and then NXT Wax. My question is should this be the order that I use the products in? Is there anything I'm missing.

Re: Certified Pro-Owned BMW Needs Some Love.
Here is the order I would do things in.
Wash
clay
scratchx 2.0
nxt 2.0
Use a good quality car wash like gold class or nxt wash, good quality drying towels. You want to create good habits so you are not re-introducing scratches and swirls into your paint.
When you clay use plenty of quik detailer for the lube. Wipe away any excess with a good quality microfiber towel. (again minimizes the re introduction of swirls and scratches.)
If you are using a foam applicator pad for the scratchx, if you are not getting the results you are after, you could step up to a terry cloth towel for your applicator.
If this is not getting the results you want, try the Ultimate compound.
Wax, remember 2 thin coats are best. Try to wait at least a half hour between coats.
Good luck, enjoy your BMW. Since this is your first post Welcome to mol.quality creates its own demand
