Re: quick detailer
Hi joe,I believe UQD is tops here.(even UQX).
I use QD on all my glass and don't have any problems. It doesn't interfere with wiper operation.(I don't know about UQD).
I find QD has some water reppelling capabilties.
So,I suppose you could take QD and UQD/UQW along with you.

Re: quick detailer
I don't kow what context you are referring to when saying chamois...but if worried about dust, then the duster would be better, like the California Duster, or something with like little dreadlocks coming off of it.
Just make sure you are taking enough towels with you also, after a couple hour drive it will most likely be kinda dirty, so probably one towel per area would be good as to not have much dirt transfer from the towels dirty area possibly scratching the clear any more, just keep folding the towel while cleaning..
UQD/UQW are awesome products, and should make the car looks fantastic once done! Good luck.Fergy-

Light dust: Microfibre + QD only! Spray the QD and gently wipe off with the microfibre.

Re: quick detailer
on the first wipe down, what u u think of the micro fibre cloth like the stuff of the roll?? dont realy wana get the expesive meguiars micro fibre one wrecked! or do u think the cheap stuff might be more likely to cause scratches? or is it the uqd which prevents this? and than give the car a quick going over after with the meguires micro fibre rag, because thery are expensive! and dont want to get it dirty on the first swipe!

Re: quick detailer
Target sells the Vroom brand microfiber towels. The orange ones are pretty cheap but do a good job. The grey ones are a little more plush. Then could use the SS o Ultimate wipe for final wipe.2008 Toyota Corolla 5-spd

Re: quick detailer
Right! Don't let the cheap or bargain microfiber towels touch your paint. I learned this the hard way. Only use top quality microfiber towels on your paint.
Here is an situation where Optimum No-Rinse would be ideal. It is safer than using a quick detailer, especially after a couple hours of driving time. You don't need a hose. All you need is 2 gallons of water. You could even prepare the ONR rinse in a covered bucket beforehand.Swirls hide in the black molecular depths, only waiting for the right time to emerge and destroy your sanity.
