Cleaning the interior of a mini van

Hello MOL and fellow members,

I've been asked by a relative to clean the interior of their mini van. I was told that it is really dirty. What would be the best way and with a minimal tools that I will need to tackle the job? I have a wet and dry vac to begin with. I'm expecting the worst so what would be the recommended product that I can use to remove all sorts of dirt and stains on the carpet and upholstery? BTW, there's no Meguiar's APC available where I live so this would be out of the list although I could get Kleenol and Detailer's Pride but I'm not sure which one to get. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Don't worry even the dirtiest car is not that hard to get clean.

Just get some kind of All Purpose Cleaner, I use Purple Power.
Dilute it 10:1, spray, bush lightly, wipe.
I then spay with water to get all the cleaner off.
That's the basic way to work with it.
Also you can spray a light coat on fabric and carpet then scrub/wipe with a towel.
Finish off with some natural shine of some kind of dressing.

You should be fine with your vac, a little cleaner and some towels.

Yeah, make sure you have a soft brush .

Yes, I'm expecting that the carpet and the fabric upholstery would be very dirty so spraying with the cleaning solution and brushing with the soft brush would definitely help in the clean up.

The soft bristles can be important for hard surface as well.
