Any your expereince with the other selections, i plan on buying a lot of these rather than anything under 32oz unless needed. So please. Rant and Rave on your detailer line stuff. Thanks!

Well you can only buy gallons (unless you buy from ADS) or larger. D151 is a great product, so is the glass cleaner and all season dressing, APC and Super Degreaser. No experience with the leather product.

The dressings are good, the soaps seem popular, the APC's are great, the glass cleaner gets rave reviews....

        Re: Detailer line.

I personally really like the leather cleaner conditioner from the D-line, it could have a little more cleaning ability but I use other things for that, and it really makes the car smell awesome! The APC and APC+ are both great products, last touch is great for clay lube, Hyper Dressing rocks! as well as All season Dressing, super degreaser is good but I only use it on engines, and the shampoos are good too

Really it is all great stuff, so I would suggest to order from ADS so that you can get the samples of lots of it to see what you will use alot of and then if you end up buying gallons you will have two bottles to dilute differently

I am pretty happy with Shampoo Plus, APC, and Last Touch, As well as the Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner in the aerosol can.

            Re: Detailer line.

I use a fair number of products from the Detailer line. I've found that most (a few exceptions but generally most) of the detailer line of product works extremely well and is very cost effective.

This is what I've used and currently have in stock in my garage plus my comments on each based on MY experience. Others may have different experiences or opinions>

D155 - Last Touch detailing spray: GREAT STUFF. I use it straight as a QD spray and diluted 1:1 for claying. Works great for both uses and it's nice to have a multi-use product. I also use M135 detail spray but that's a LOT more expensive and to be honest I'm just as happy if not happier with the D155.

D151 - Paint Reconditioning Cream: GREAT STUFF. I use this for customer's cars when doing basic full details but not full paint corrections. When you just need to wash & wax the paint but you want a nice job but not have to spend all day on just the paint the D151 works great and does a really nice job. It's a one-step product that has some polishing "cut" to it (if I recall correctly the cut aggressiveness level is the same as M205) so it does manage to get some very minor swirls out and it's a wax so it's a polish and wax in one step.
I actually just started to use D151 a couple months ago but i've been very please with the results and will keep on using it for all my basic detail jobs.
Full paint correction work requiring separate steps I still go to M105/M205 though.

D140 Wheel Brightner: Very nice product. Very strong. Be careful what wheels you use it on but on the right type it's very effective. Can use at various dilution levels depending on the strength you want to use it at. It's STRONG stuff though so caution is needed but if this won't take the dirt off chances are not much else is going to either.

D161 Silicone Free Dressing: It's "OK" but nothing special to write home about. When I run out I'll probably try the Hyper Dressing or All Season dressing instead. This stuff works and looks ok but it just doesn't strike me as anything "great".
It's really the only product in the Detailer line-up that hasn't impressed me.

D107 APC+: A great All Purpose Cleaner. I keep it in two different spray bottles at different dilution levels depending on the use. Works great. I use it everywhere - exterior places like cleaning wheelwells, engine bays, door jambs, interior uses usually with the "weaker" dilution level. Just a very good APC.

D120 - Glass Cleaner: Another newer use product for me but so far I've been pleased. Minimal streaking when wiping off on windows. Strong concentration level so when you dilute it for use the gallon jug makes a LOT - I think it dilutes to about 33 gallons or so so it's very cost effective. Works well.

D108 - Super Degreaser: Good stuff! Works well. Dilution level makes it a cost effective product and it works good. I use it a lot on door jambs, engine bays, under carriage parts.
For Degreasers I always have D108, Simple Green and Purple Power around. D108 has become the first bottle I usually grab anymore when I need a degreaser although Purple Power does work pretty darn good itself.

D130 - Body Solvent: Another D-line product that is fairly new for me but so far I'm very pleased with it. I use it a lot like a pre-wash soak on heavier grimey areas. It does a great job of loosening up bugs, tar, greasy spots, etc.
A lot of that will than simply come off much easier during the washing process. I've found since trying the D130 that a good spray of it on the front bumper/grill areas and let it soak for a few minutes than I hit those areas with one of those yellow scrubby bug/tar removal sponges and the bugs come right off nice and easy.

So far that's what I've used in the D-Line. Sorry, I haven't used the leather cleaning products from the D-line yet, I use Lexol for leather cleaner and conditioner (sorry Megs!)

            Hope this helps

Thanks Barry, this really helped. I was leaning towards the all season dressing because it rains so much up here. Very informative!

I have had nothing but great results using the detailer line. I really like the ability to buy in the gallon size.

Has anyone used the Xpress Wax or Supersoap?

I like Xpress wax. I put mine in a spray bottle, it doesn't really spray in a mist more like a chunky stream but it makes waxing go quick. Spreads on fast and drys quick too. Not much in the way of durability but not that bad either. I'm out but going to wait and see if UQW ends up in an affordable gallon size.

Supersoap was pretty decent but I can't stand the smell. The only two times I used it was in a sealed up garage and it smelled like cherry cough syrup. lol Maybe it was just bad childhood memories of being sick and taking that nasty tasting stuff.

The D-Line leather is alright. I like the smell of that. Leaves the leather nice but doesn't have much in the way of cleaning power. Depends on how bad your leather is. I'd get a sample size, a little goes a long way. I hardly used any out of my 12oz sample doing a few cars and my living room couch, chair and ottoman.

I had extremely good results with X-press wax. Be sure to apply it very thin, it is a real PITA to get off when its put on thick. It leaves the surface feeling beautifully silky with pretty good protection but not the best longevity. Should definitely be used with a "booster wax" like QW or UQW.

Great point! More of a booster wax.

                          Re: Detailer line.

Thanks guys, Blue I got the sample size of the Leather Cleaner and see where you are coming from on the cleaning power, works well, but i had to work it it very hard on the nasty stuff. I am flying thru gold class and wanted something more cost effective, so Hyperwash seems to be my best bet, but i think i may get some shampoo+ as well. And another thing, i was eyeballing foam guns, more for a pre soak rather than a wash method, does anyone use body solvent with a foam gun, i found a great article a while back with someone testing out the foam and cling of all the soaps, but he never did the body solvent. Chapter 1 complete. THanks!
