  • Last Touch vs Final Inspection vs Synthetic Spray Detailer ??

    Hi guys

Can any1 help me to clarify the difference between

Last Touch vs Final Inspection M34 vs Synthetic Spray Detailer M135 ??

I only know Final Inspection is body shop safe.

    Which spray removes wax ?
Which spray "top-ups" as a wax maintenance ?

    Thanks

Last Touch is a great economical QD that dilutes 1:1 and works great as a clay lube and can also be used to remove light dust.

M34 works good at removing light dust and is a good all around QD

M135 is basically a Mirror Glaze line of UQD, which can remove light dust and help enhance appearance (I personally don't like using it to remove dust, but rather remove with another like last touch, then follow with UQD or M135 to enhance gloss)

The best wax maintenance is Ultimate Quik Wax which you apply like a QD, wipe on, wipe off. It cannot be used to remove dust though, it must be used on a completely clean surface.

With all QD, none add wax. If you think about it logically, you are rubbing a towel on your surface which removes a miniscule amount of wax (it doesn't strip the wax, only takes off a tiny tiny amount) Think of it as if you aren't adding wax, then you have to be removing wax.

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

    I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
    Remove swirls my friends.

There's 2-3 threads on the differences in our mist & wipe spray detailers in our Hot Topics forum.

        What are you working on?
What are your car care goals?

Most people need a quick detailer like Quik Detailer for claying and then if you want a top shelf quick detailer to maximize gloss and slickness then Ultimate Quik Detailer is excellent for these kinds of results.

If you haven't tired our new Ultimate Quik Wax then you might like it also but remember a spray-on wax is not for removing light dust, that would be the job of a quick detailer.

          D15001 X-Press Wax

We keep getting requests to bring out our new UQW in gallons.

Have you tried our new UQW?

Re: Last Touch vs Final Inspection vs Synthetic Spray Detailer ??

Detailers and Spray Waxes are grouped under maintenance, since Spray Waxes can never substitute for a full wax job

Waxing/Polishing is often mixed up, just like detailing/spray waxes... some manufacturers likes to market their detailers as cleaning + top-up a layer of "protection"

In fact, after Andrew clarified with me, I do not like the idea of detailers at all. I would rather give it a good wash. I have seen numerals of horror stories how detailers ruin a good finish because the dust and dirt is too much to be detailed.

My aim to look for a spray wax that will be able to provide additional layers of protection in between my full wax job.

X-press wax is probably the closest I can get now, however, it still needs to be applied by hand. Nothing really beats the convenience of a true spray wax.

There is nothing wrong with using a QD to remove light dust just as long as you use it properly. It looks as if you are looking for a quick maintenance wax.

I really suggest you buy a bottle of UQW. Spray on, spread with microfiber, immediately wipe off with dry side a dry side of microfiber. I can do my entire truck in about 15 minutes, and it works pretty darn well too!
