2 years ago I had 2 of my winter wheels (MB polished silver) repainted. After they returned the wheels, I waxed them after only a few days using NXT. I used these wheels for that winter and after the winter, they were all pitted. I contacted the guy and they repainted them for me. Again, I waxed them after a few days and again, they were pitted after one winter use.
Now, I learned from this forum that for new paint, I should not wax for 90 days so the paint can "breath". Does this apply to wheels as well? Can this be the reason for the pitting?
