I found this excellent article by DeFelsko in response to a question posed in another online forum about the utility and methodology of PTG's (paint thickness gauges). Of course, DeFelsko wrote the article to promote their own line of PTG's, but the article is still a good read for anyone wishing to detail vehicles for income.

Very cool. I'm in the market for a PTG and have seen the PosiTest DFT used by a few other detailers now.
