I plan on degreasing my motor in my Jeep and was wondering. If I spray any Simple Green on the pannels how much wax will I strip?? I don't have any APC.

Re: Simple Green
I'd be careful using Simple Green. I avoid it because I can't stand the smell, but some MOL members have said that Simple Green has caused some staining issues on different areas of their cars. It can stain aluminum parts under the hood, too. I think you'd be better off to go to Wal-Mart and pick up a degreaser like Purple Power or Greased Lightning Blast. Both are perfectly safe and won't cause staining. And as far as your other question goes, any sort of degreaser or comparable cleaner will strip wax off, so if you should happen to spray some degreaser on any panels, plan on re-waxing those areas.

Re: Simple Green
ive heard/read that purple power can leave a white residue on aluminum? is that true. i could be wrong... which would be a better degreaser for cleaning engines suspension, door jams etc.. purple power or super clean? id like to get some APC+ but i would need it by tomorrow.. thank you- Markito -

Re: Simple Green
All I know is that Purple Power is some hardcore, strong stuff, and I have 3/4 gallon of it sitting in my closet (not in use), alongside my APC and APC+ (which I waited to buy, and do use!). I remember using some diluted PP on a couple engine bays and it didn't do much to remove grease, and it left some funky white and brown residue on the plastics when it dried.
Not the case with APC and some Hyper Dressing to follow-up.
