  • Washing different kinds of MF towles together

Is it OK to wash very plush detailing MF (used for things like QDing and buffing) along with drying MF? I think I recall someone saying not to do this since they have different naps/fuzz or something like that.

Also can I use Arm and Hammer liquid laundry detergent that has baking soda in it to wash MF? There is no fabric softener or bleach in it, but the ingredients say it does contain perfume.

I was all the polish, wax, and dry towels together and separate the dirtier towels used for glass, trim, etc.

I wash my waffle weave drying towels with all my other towels, even ones I use to wipe off polishes with. No issues for me, that I know of

I just throw them all in the washer, along with the foam pads, after every detailing session.

Then I toss them in the dryer on low and call it a day.

          Haven't decided what temperature though.,.

Just to note, you can make towel washing and maintenance as refined as you like, for example go to a store like Target and get a few dirty cloths hampers and mark them on the outside as to what type of cloth they are for depending upon the wash load.

If you only want to wash plush microfiber polishing cloths with other microfiber polishing cloths then have a dedicated place to start them until you have enough to make a wash load.

I really never thought about it. I usually have 2 loads. One for the dirtier towels and one for the towels I used for waxing, drying.
