            No.

I just walked out into the garage, shook up a bottle of M80 and then poured some out and felt it between my fingers and it has a smooth, creamy feel. It's not gritty. Meguiar's does not put grit in any of their products.

            Questions:

            1. How are you applying it? By hand or machine and if machine what kind of machine?

            2. What kind of application material are you using? A foam applicator pad? A foam buffing pad? Microfiber?

            3. What are you trying to accomplish?

I use M80 A LOT, and, like Mike said, it's definitely nothing like what you described... it's very smooth and only a bit creamy...

What exactly felt gritty, the surface after polishing it with M80 or the M80 in your hands? I'm thinking if you felt the paint after polishing your paint might be in need of a good claying... just assumptions

The only way I can think M80 would get gritty is if you have that dried up an got mixed in.
