Meg foam applicator pad & mf applicator pad

Hi,

Is it correct to say that a microfiber applicator pad will have more cutting than foam pad when applying paint cleaner such as swirlx or uc by hand assuming same pressure applied?

yes, it will have more cut. From most to least:
Terry cloth
Microfiber
Foam.

I have only used the round foam applicator pads. I have seen some that offer different *cuts* of foam. Those may be more aggressive than microfiber? I have not used any of them before so I have no idea.

thanks Jason,i will use the mf applicator tomorrow, will do a test spot,see if i can do better than using the foam pad

What are you trying to do? If you are trying to remove defects and want a two step by hand then UC via a terry towel followed by SwirlX or 205 via a foam applicator pad would be great. If you are looking for a one step by hand ordeal then UC or Swirl X by foam is great. If the foam isn't enough then try it with microfiber and check your work under good lights or the sun.

i will only do one step,not enough strenght to do 2 steps. i will do the right side panels this week,clayed yesterday. My car is new (nov 08) black color,only has light swirl.

Actually i only have scratchx2.0 & swirlx. The uc is too liquid. They just arrived in Indonesia,i went to meg indonesia again yesterday,all uc been returned to the head office.

Ok then,i will try swirlx first with foam pad and see the result.
