what to use when washing microfiber

Does anybody have any laundry soap sugestions that doesnt contain fabric softners or bleach for washing my microfiber towells? I know of micro fiber restorer and its too expensive!!!

AT Meguiar's I think we use liquid ALL, here in the Phillips household, we always use regular Tide.

Both products seem to work the same and I never notice any difference in performance in either location.

I have access to fancy non mainstream detergent called Mela Power. Allegedly cleans without ever breaking down fibers (They it can do this due to absence of phosphates). One ounce treats an average load of wash. I wash everything with it including MFs and I'm very happy with it

Woolite.
But my microfiber cheapo Costco towels don't seem as soft as they did before. And I've only washed them three time and always in cold water, and dried on air dry, no heat.
Maybe Woolite isn't so good after all?

I use woolite as well... seems to work well for me, I always toss the microfibers in the dryer for a short time to "Fluff" them, then let them air dry. Seems to make them softer. I get my Micros from www.pakshak.com I have also washed my UB's the same way and always come out good.

I have been using woolite for years and have had great results. Has worked well on both ulimate wipes and some of the other microfiber towels I have gotten over the years.
The problem with the costco "microfiber" towels are that they are cheaply made, that is why they are so cheap. I use them to wax and polish my wheels and no matter what I try they fall apart on me quickly. But since they are so affordable, I don't view it as a problem.

I fought off the urge to buy a 3 pack Rubbermaid MF set:

1 glass mf, 1 polishing mf, 1 all purpose mf, marketed for household cleaning: the polishing mf is recommended for porcelain so I assume paint as well. No matter, I'm only going to get known high quality mfs, too much at risk when it comes to paint to test an unknown.

I've have been uding Megs All Purpose plus for washing my towels, pads (foam and wool), and MF's. So far problems to date that I have noticed. I wash them by them selves. eg; one load of MF's, one load of pads, one load of towels. But I was wondering if there is any problem with using AP+ as do to having any fabric protectors or brighteners in them that will affect the pads and MF's. Maybe Mike can CHIM in on this question.
