  • "Everyday" Polish

I would like to find a good "everyday" polish. After some reading here I can't decipher between Deep Crystal, 205, Scratch X or maybe No. 7. This would be applied by hand and used every time or every other time.

What are you looking to do?

Havine something mild to clean the paint, or just something to put some polishing oils on the paint before waxing?

Or something to follow up a car wash?

I was thinking of something mild to clean, polish and help with minor defects. Is there another step you recommend?

An AIO such as A12 Cleaner Wax or ColorX would be ideal for what you are trying to accomplish.

        An AIO cleans,polishes, and protects.

Well...I use another brand of wax without a polishing agent. And since Megs makes the finest polishes on the market I was looking for one to use before waxing.

Are you trying to remove swirls and scratches out of your car's finish?

SwirlX is a new cleaner/polish that you could use also. You can apply it gently when there are no real defects, or work it in with some passion when there are.

Of course if you used it, you would have to re-do the wax afterwards as well. So it wouldnt be "for after every wash". It would be for when you want to do a good detail every few months.

Matter of fact I used SwirlX this past weekend. Fantastic results. Just looking for something everyday.

I'm still lost in the 'everyday'.

To me, everyday means after every wash, and I would go to something like Ultimate Quick Wax for that.

SwirlX is fine for every detail, and then following it up with your wax of choice. You just apply SwirLX more gently when you need less cleaning ability.

M09 comes to mind. Very light cleaning action by hand, adds a lot of gloss, prepares the surface for wax.

                      Re: "Everyday" Polish

I'm looking for something on the "less aggressive" end of the Meguiar's spectrum to use after every wash and before every wax. I use another brand of wax so I don't need an AIO product or a product that contains wax. Any and all recommendations and suggestions are appreciated.

Very good idea. Hadn't thought of No. 9.
                        So......No.9 or Deep Crystal?

DC would be a cleaner only, #9 would be a cleaner/polish.

So now I'm thinking either 9 or 205, again strictly looking from a pure mild polish standpoint. Now I'm not locked in on either one of these. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

M09 is going to be less aggressive just so you know.
