  • Compounds for glass

I saw one thread where M04 was used with buffer to remove water spots on T-tops.

Which compounds would be ok to use on glass to remove water spots with DA? I know that some (all?) of Megs cleaner/polishing compounds contain oils. I'm curious how this will affect glass.

All 4 windows, and the rear, on my Titan look horrible with water spots. Its only a year old, but is subject to the weather 24/7. I tried RainX. Two applications did nothing for the water spots. I plan to try vinegar/distilled water next. If that doesn't work I'll have to resort to more serious measures, like compounds by machine.

I'm out of town for now so I'm just doing my homework so I can get-right-to-it once I'm home!

M04 is used because it has a large, chunky diminishing abrasive and this feature works well for cutting off any film that's built up on the glass or water spots.

It won't remove scratches out of glass and it won't scratch the glass so it works pretty well for polishing glass by hand or machine.

There's a thread about this on the forum, want to take a guess where?

      Hmm... Hot topics? ...or... How-To?
I suppose I should search more. I always get side-tracked tho clicking all kinds of links and threads and end up asking myself, "...what was I looking for again?"

That's one of them, here's the one that led to that one,

Also, anytime you're reading a thread, especially in Hot Topics or How To Articles, if you see a blue clickable link like this,

How To Remove Water Spots off Glass using M04 with an RB

If you want to share that thread somewhere else on this forum or another forum just highlight it, then right click on the highlighted link and select Copy and then paste it wherever you're posting. (That's why the blue, pre-formatted link is in all the threads, it makes it easy for someone to share a link with words that describe what the content is about versus just gobbledygook.
