  • 12 oz OR 32 oz?

First time detailer here, I'm curious how far a 12 oz bottle of cleaner/polish will go?... working on a 2008 black 4 door nissan titan. Will I make it thru the entire truck or do I need a 32 oz bottle? Paint has very light swirls on the hood mainly. Just needs some TLC and fresh coat of wax.

Are you working by hand or machine? What cleaner/polish do you plan on using? There are many variables but going out on a limb, 12 oz will suffice. If you plan on doing more details, then 32 oz would be better cost wise.

You should be able to go around 2-3X on the titian with a 12 oz bottle and if you clay 1st it will reduce the amount of product you use.

        Just get the 32.

That way you'll have some left over for future uses or jobs, which will surely happen.

You also have to consider which product....

The milder the product, the more you will use it.

So you might get a smaller #105/UC, but a bigger #205/SwirlX/#80.

I started out with the 12oz "samplers" for 2 reasons...

            1. To see how much I liked it.
            2. So I'd have the bottle to refill. Seems easier to handle then the bigger bottles. (whaa...poor me, I know. )

As mentioned above, there are some products that you're going to like so you might as well get a big bottle too. i.e. M205.
