    Re: Scratch-X Please help

You will want to wash the car, then apply the ScratchX.

Once the ScratchX is applied, you can apply your wax.

As far as how to apply, give these links a look. They will help explain. But do ask any further questions.

        Re: Scratch-X Please help

        Looks like you're in India?

So the ScratchX you have is the first version correct?

Or does it look like this,

        ScratchX 2.0

The reason why I ask is because the first version is no where near as fast or effective at removing swirls as our brand new version. Then new 2.0 version uses a completely different type of abrasive than the previous versions and it makes a world of difference for anyone that wants to rub out and entire car by hand when the goal is to remove swirls.

Besides the above, when you do go to work on your car, anytime you're removing swirls out of a clear coat by hand you need to only work small sections at a time, about a foot squared or so.

That's because most clear coat paints are pretty hard and the way your remove swirls is to remove a little paint off the surface and this is what you're doing with a paint cleaner like ScratchX.

It's vital you use good technique for working a paint cleaner over the clear coat paint in order to get the results you're looking for.
