  • Just spent a bunch of money on NXT Gen stuff.

    Here's what I got:
    NXT Gen Insane Shine
    Ultimate Detailer
    NXT Gen Car Wash
    NXT Gen Tech Wax 2.0
    Clay
    Foam pad

Is the following the right steps (in right order) when detailing my exterior and rims?

    1. Wash with Car Wash diluted with water
    2. Dry with towel
    3. Clay with Ultimate Detailer as lubricant
    4. Apply Tech Wax with foam pad
    5. Clean off excess wax with towel
    6. Top with a layer of Ultimate Detailer

Sorry I'm very new to this so I have lots of question. And had I know about Meguiar's Mirror Glaze I wouldn't have ordered all these stuff and trouble myself with these complications...

Make sure you get some quality microfiber towels. Don't use your old bathroom towels.

You can mix and match the lines as needed.

      1. Wash - Nxt wash is good, use two buckets and quality towels/sponges.

      2. Clay - I assume your kit came with the regular QD? Use that.

      3. If you really want great results, use the Cleaner/Wax or ColorX next.

      4. Wax - Nxt Tech Wax 2.0.

And then yes, you can use the tire dressing and Ultimate Quick Detailer as needed.

Don't use your Ultimate Detailer for a clay lube. First it's not recommended for claying, second of all, considering what you're doing with the product, since normal Quik Detailer cost a lot less and also comes in our clay kit, use Quik Detailer instead. Save your Ultimate Quik Detailer for maintaining a high gloss finish.

The rest looks good... be sure to apply and work the wax in thoroughly and leave behind a thin coating. Let the wax fully dry before removing.

There's nothing wrong with what you ordered. In fact, you've covered some of the very steps needed to properly care for your car's finish. Mirror Glaze is simply another line in the wonderful world of Meguiars.

I didn't order the claying kit from Meguiars. What should I use as a lubricant? The only Meguiars product I have are those listed and Quik Interior Detailer.

maroon bottle quick detailing spray. Do not use the ultimate quick detailing spray as a clay lube. Can use Last Touch 1:1 as lube too. Onr can be used as clay lube as well but at a different ratio i believe

Can/should I clean and wax the windows the same way as the paint?

                  Most likely no.

You can certainly clay windows, but following up with a proper glass cleaner (like the Nxt Glass Cleaner) is best.

Some people like to wax windows, I like RainX, some people prefer nothing.

The only type of wax i've ever used on my windows is UQW. But that's only when i already have it out to do my paint. Other than that, it's just D-Line Glass Cleaner.

I like treating my windows with NXT Glass Cleaner and Ultimate Quik Wax. Also be sure to be using good quality washing and drying tools.

Also like other said, use a cheaper detailing spray.

I like Last Touch 1:1 or NXT Speed Detailer.

I think I might just leave my window unwaxed because I don't think I'm going to buy any more cleaning products. I bought 9 bottles plus accessories within this past week!
