Going to dump some more cash on ADS. I still have no exp with a PC but after seeing some of the power from the flex im leaning more towards that. I plan on detailing for the long haul and not just as a hobby. So would i be better of with a flex?

Re: Finally!
I only use a PC, I do not do alot of correction, but from what I can tell throughout the forums I'm on, the Flex would be what you would need, and probably the rotary type. The DA type is much stronger than the G110 from what I understand, but a rotary has the muscle to get the job done quick.Fergy-

Re: Finally!
I recently got the flex and found it a terrific machine. I have no regrets about spending a few more dollars.
BTW - I got mine from https://www...are.com (for the record, I'm not associated with them other than a customer)
They have a 15% discount plus free shipping deal that goes through 5/31/09 on orders above $50.
Coupon code is "weekend15".
That deal brings the Flex XC3401 Kit w/ 3 LC pads & carry bag (regular $329.95) down to about $280 to your door.
There is also a kit that includes the Flex XC3401, 5 Meguiar's pads, a 32oz bottle of M105, a 32oz bottle M205, and a 16oz bottle of M34. It's more money, total about $352, but it's a pretty good discount on all you're getting.

Re: Finally!
I think you will like the flex! Honestly the DA is a great machine but since you say that you are wanting to do some for a little money the flex would be better imho. It has a little more power so you will be able to correct more quicker and you still get the DA benefits. I was going to get a DA but now im getting a Flex as soon as someone buys my guitar so I can have money

With that in mind remember the PC7424 or G110 will be a definite improvement in both time and correction ability over an entire vehicle. With the Kevin Brown Method that level of correction is slightly raised. For an enthusiast who has never used a machine this is not a bad way to go and test the waters so to speak.
But if you're doing this as a paying job...where time and results are money...then the Flex is going to give you the best correction ability in the shortest amount of time short of a rotary. In the end the difference is about $100 to $150 depending on what package you buy and from where. Rick's deal for a Flex, bag, microfiber towels, and six (6) CCS pads for $320 really is nice. I know for a fact he can also secure the sought-after side handle as he has for me and several others on this board...just ask him to add it to your order. That basically boils down to one job paying for the Flex and you really cannot ask for more.
There are going to be those one or two spots on the occasional car that necessitate hand application of product whether you use a Flex or G110 (unless you get another backing plate and smaller pads) but there are now adaptors for both machines that allow for smaller pads. If you do go hand application it's not foreign to you and you've been able to correct defects this way in the past. I'd say go Flex but there's nothing wrong with starting off slow with an orbital like a G110 or PC7424XP...

Re: Finally!
Congrats...I have been looking at the Fle but 105 / 205 seem to work so fast with a DA (just 3 passes or so and 105 does its magic) and 205 takes a bit more (4 slow + 2 ligher pressure). I am just wondering how much time it will save now. With the diminishing polishes, I have been told the flex corrects more with a less abrasive polish. Would the same really be true with 105/205?Al

Re: Finally!
I have a PC 7424, and I love it. Great machine. When I bought it, the Flex was new and unproven. However, the Flex has proven itself to be a very capable machine, and in my *personal* opinion, there are almost no circumstances where I would recommend the PC over it. The only exception would be if you're looking for a machine to use only to apply LSPs, and the extra power of the Flex is not needed. Very few people do this, however.
Bottom line: if you have the extra money to spend, get a Flex. It's that simple.-Will-

If so, I see 6 total passes using both products against 9 total passes (M105 just breaks down so fast) or so with my UDM.Al
