Really odd sighting at Walmart - NXT wash in different colors?

Ok, this one was kind of odd..

My local Walmart got in their first nxt wash about 2 weeks ago. I was in that auto area killing time while the wife was in crafts and spotted the oddest thing with the nxt wash.

Of the 8 bottles they had on the shelf, 2 were kind of a dark lilac color like the two bottles I have at home; the other 6 were a transparent purplish-blue. BUT when held so the lights above shone through, the dark lilac one turned colors to match the other purplish blue ones!


You could see your hand through the purplish blue bottles, but the lilac-colored ones were opaque.


Has anyone else seen this?

I met with Mike and a few others at Meguiars about two weeks ago. One of the topics of discussion that came up that night, was the change in the color of the car wash.

Mike indicated the change in the color, was to make it more appealing to the eye.

I heard that the NXT Wash formulation was being upgraded with more advanced buffers and chelating agents for water softness. Perhaps this was it.

Makes sense to me, I like the new color better


Glad I wasn't seeing things! Neat thing is they both appear nearly the same color when held up to the flourescent lights in the store.
