    any one have a link or pictures showing and describing all the different types of defects mentioned on this forum , such as swirls spider webs holograms ??????

      thanks man thats awesome .. what about a hologram whats that ?...
      i been tryin to figure out whats going on with my hatch wing . the paint color is fading . the clearcoat is still there i think , no paint comes off on the pads but now when i wax it -it feels like in going against a sandpaper with the pad .

        I think the green vehicle has holograms near the end of the photos, I may be wrong though.

          Haven't you ever seen Star Trek: Next Generation? I love spending hours and hours on the holodeck! In one of my favorite hologram programs, I get to detail a 1963 Aston Martin DB5, surrounded, of course, by beautiful women.

          Oops, you must be talking about a different kind of hologram.

            You are correct.

            These are Holograms, also called Buffers Swirls or Buffer Trails.





            These are also holograms or buffer swirls,

            They are inflicted by the mis-use of a rotary buffer and the pattern you see is the direction the buffer was moved over the paint.

              If there's clear paint over the red and you've polished the clear layer, then there's not much else you can do to revive the color coat under the clear coat except repaint.
