Im looking to get the Megs DA, but Ive never owned one so I dont know where to start. Im going to be working on cars from my 09 Challenger R/T all the way to pretty neglected finishes but still nothing terrible. So what do you guys recommend I buy? Im looking for pads, backing plates, compounds, polishes etc. Can someone also explain the numbered products you guys always refer to on the boards from megs pro line. Can you recommend any of those products? What Ive got set up so far is the G110, 2.0 cutting pads, 2.0 polishing pads, and ultimate compound. I already have a megs polish and Im looking to wax by hand. Any comments welcome, I wanna figure this DA thing out once and for all.

Re: What should I buy with the G110?
I am no expert but I would get the W68DA backing plate. I am not sure you will need the 2.0 cutting pads, but I would get at least four of the 2.0 polishing pads and at least 2 of the 2.0 finishing pads. Besides the UC I would get M105 & M205. I would also get some SwirlX. For wax I would recommend M26 and NXT2. Like I said, I am no expert, but I have all of the above and they have served me well.

For pads, I would definitely get a couple of the yellow polishing pads, and some black finishing pads, and one or so of the cutting pad.
Regarding how many, that all depends, Nick Chapman has tons of pads only because he hates to clean them. If you have a process dialed in then you would probably need a pad per step, however this is with cleaning while working. I would make sure to have a couple on hand just to be safe though.

Re: What should I buy with the G110?
Not to hijack this thread but are there any substitutes for M205? I was thinking of asking for this kit for my birthday and a 32 oz. bottle of M105, but I wondered if there was anything that could replace M205, like maybe M03? I know that's probably a dumb question, but I just thought I'd ask. The O'Reilly Auto Parts store near me has M03 and some other Mirror Glaze products. Or am I just better off to go ahead and order the M205? How does that combo differ from M80/M83? Just wondering...
Also, when ADS runs sales, how long do they usually last? Like if there's a product on sale now, would it still be on sale in July?Shane
