  • Is NXT clearcoat safe?

OK... I have looked everywhere and cannot determine if NXT Tech Wax 2.0 is safe for clear coat. Can anyone help me??? Looks like it would be on the box if it is... Gold Class says clearcoat safe.

Yep, it's safe! All of Meguiar's waxes are clear coat safe.

Oh... NXT 2.0 look amazing too!

      Edit: Welcome to MOL!

        Re: Is NXT clearcoat safe?

Clear coats now make up 95-99% of all modern paint finishes, so almost every product sold OTC is designed for clear coats. That's why you won't see specific language saying whether a product is clear coat safe. For those of us old enough to remember, programs used to be announced as being televised "in living color!" when television was transitioning from B/W to color broadcasts in the 60's. It would be almost comical to hear that announcement today. You see the same thing happening with HD television today. In a few years you won't even see the "broadcast in HD" disclaimers at the bottom of the screen.

It's actually difficult to find products designed specifically for single-stage paint finishes only without ordering them from specialty professional product lines over the internet.

Thanks!! Any suggestions on getting bugs off prior to waxing? I have a 2007 Camry with the flat nose that is saturated with bugs... new and old.

Fill a bucket with some normal car wash and warm water. Drop a few microfiber towels in there, and then pull them out and set them on the bug infested areas. Let it soak for about a minute, then pick it up, rinse in the bucket, and put it on a new spot. Repeat this where the bugs are, and then do your traditional wash. They will fall right off.
