At the suggestion of several MOL posts, I've been using Bounce dryer sheets for cleaning the bugs off the front of my truck for a couple of weeks now.
The first time I used one, I guess I didn't have many bugs because I never noticed the white "slurry" that is produced when the sheet gets wet. During last weekend's wash I actually used two sheets to get them all because I wanted to try and reduce how much of this residue got on my paint.
My question is, is this something I should be concerned about? Also, what process are others using along with a dryer sheet - do you wet the area, wipe off the bugs with a damp sheet, and then wipe off the softener solution with a microfiber or wash mitt?
It seemed to me that the areas I used the dryer sheet on had an "anti-water" coating left behind...
