Hi J SOLO,
You can do either.
#20 applies so easily, that if your finish is in good to excellent condition, you will use less product if you apply by hand.
The PC with a W-8006 does have a cleaning effect that will leverage off of the chemical cleaners in the #20 to help you better clean and polish the finish while you're applying it by machine. Of course, your pad will tend to soak up more product.
One other factor to consider is heat. Typically speaking, you don't want to generate heat when applying a wax. So keep your setting on the 4.0 or lower.
Hope this helps...

I find #20 removal to be better with the PC and a microfiber bonnet. Less streaking that way (on a single stage paint).
TomAs the light changed from red to green to yellow and back to red again, I sat there thinking about life. Was it nothing more than a bunch of honking and yelling? Sometimes it seemed that way.

Medalion, #20 and NXT all work very well by hand or with the pc. If there are problems removing the product 90% of the time it is going to have something to do with the prep of the finish, or lack of prep to the finish.
I did a Maybach the other day with speed glaze ( #80 ) on the rotary followed by #80 on the pc, followed by NXT and that black paint was soooooo smooth and shiny !
I guess my point was that the NXT wiped off so easy and streak free due to the finish being properly prepared for a final finish prduct.
EDIT: I put #83 earlier by mistake, sorry if I confused anyone .Last edited by DETLMAN; Mar 12, 2004, 09:44 PM.If you dont play you CANT win!
