    black camry with swirls

    About a month ago used Scratch X on the wifes 2007 Camry. After washed it last night I noticed some swirls in the paint, finish is very shiny and looks good from the right angle. Until you look from it broad side you really notice the swirls. I used a foam applicator pad and clay bar before I put it on. Immediatly after used the paste Gold Class wax to seal.

    I am very confident it will come out just need to know the right direction to go. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi, Ky.

    First question: Which version of ScratchX do you have? Does it say "ScratchX 2.0" on the bottle? I ask because if you have the old version, then it is a very mild product and you may wish to procure one of Meguiar's stronger polishes (e.g., SwirlX, ScratchX 2.0, and Ultimate Compound).

    Polishing out a whole car by hand is very hard work, as you no doubt have discovered. You may want to start saving your pennies for a G110 Dual Action Polisher. It will make the job infinitely easier and you will be able to remove swirls and scratches more effectively.

    And don't forget to always do a TEST SPOT first before polishing the entire car!

      I guess after looking at some of the pictures on here it could be what is known as hologramming. Not to familiar with so please excuse my ignorance.

      Could there just be product left on the paint still. If there is what is the easiest way to remove it.
