  • Foam applicator pads!

What to do with dirty applicator pads. Can they be washed in the washer? With or without detergent? Or get new ones?
Why do I get my vehicle dirty? So I can wash it again!

Yes they can be washed. I wash it just like everything else, in the washer with Tide, then straight to the drier.

I am a little bit anal about microfibers and pads. Usually if they get stained badly for any reason I throw them in the garbage. If they just have some wax or compound they will be like new after the wash!

I have a couple of pads that I have washed around 5-6 times, still look brand new. What a wonderful product.

Thank you! Would you recommend washing in a hot cycle maybe to melt the excess wax out or does it matter?

I like using the hot cycle. Just make sure to wash a load of microfibers or rags on hot after to make sure the excess wax is out of the machine.

I also pretreat mine with a little APC if they are really bad.

I squeeze my excess product out with dish soap and then throw them in the washing machine.

I soak my applicators in some water and Greased Lightning Blast degreaser overnight and then rinse them out really good. They come out almost like new! You can find Greased Lightning Blast at Wal-Mart (at least that's where I get mine). Costs a little less than $4 for an almost 68 oz. bottle. You might try that and see if it helps.

I always wash my microfibers but now I know I can wash my applicators also. Thanks Guys. I want to get the most out of them I can.

I wash mine in the washer as well but with all my items I air dry

I let mine soak in a warm bath of Dawn dish soap and then wring them out and rinse with tap water and let air dry.
