  • UQW replace UQD?

Hi, i just got myself a bottle of UQW . Fantastic product and very easy to apply with fantastic result.

Can i substitute UQD with UQW only for removing dust for daily usage?

    thanks!

No - short answer. Two different products. Two different functions. Read the directions of each carefully

No, UQW does not contain things to lubricate dirt and remove it safely.

          Re: UQW replace UQD?

          To add further clarification:
UQD can be used on a freshly cleaned surface, or a surface with light dust, fingerprints, pollen, etc.

UQW can ONLY be used on a freshly cleaned surface. Because of the way the product is buffed into the paint if you used it to "clean" the paint it would induce swirls in a bad, bad way.

If you have a lightly dusty car, but want to put UQW on the vehicle you can start with UQD (or NXT Speed Detailer, Final Inspection, Last Touch, etc) and THEN apply the UQW.

          Make sense?

              Thanks guys

I know the difference between the 2 but i gues i am blinded by the result and ease of application.

a new daily routine then, UQD when i am back from the office and UQW before i go to the office

                Re: UQW replace UQD?

You might be able to find a cheaper QD product in bulk, like Final Inspection or Last Touch, that would be cheaper to use to follow up with UQW?

Not sure what your prices are like?

I know some members like to QD every day, but I would recommend against it based on the principle of touching your paint as little as possible/necessary. Unless you live in an incredibly dusty environment, you really shouldn't need to QD your vehicle more than 2 or 3 times a week. I QD mine twice a week, with a proper wash at least every two weeks, but sometimes every week. I wick the dust off on my first QD pass with a clean folded microfiber, then polish the panel lightly with the reverse side of the towel. Just like if you were polishing the car with a DA, work small areas (18"x18").

#135 is like UQD in bulk, also an option.
