I have ultimate quik wax and it says on the back of the bottle you can use it in direct sunlight. Works great. very fast and easy to use!

Welcome to Meguiars Online for the Both of you!!
You really should not apply wax is direct sunlight. It will cause the wax to dry to quickly with out it having a chance to bond to the clear coat enough for the optimum protection.
As mentioned above Ultimate Quik Wax, but that is a booster wax, and is not meant to replace the real wax.

I'm never satisfied when using products under the sun so i always work in the shade. The saying's something like, anything that can be used in direct sunlight will work even better on a cool surface. UQW can be used in the sun with good results but you'll always get even better results when used in the shade.

Barry Meguiar was talking about a "flash point" or something in a video I watched that is on a channel they have on YouTube. I didn't know about that and I found it interesting.

It was informative to know why you can't wax a hot car finish or in direct sunlight.

Barry said in one of his videos that technically of their waxes can be applied in direct sunlight but the performance is less. I think that was it. Makes sense too really

I agree. You always want the paint to be as cool as possible. This assures maximum bonding of the wax.
