  • Quick Detail, weird results

Well I'm finally home from school so that means I get to have a shiney car all the time. However Ive ran into somewhat of a problem.

When I use last touch and a SS towel, it leaves small little fuzzes on the paint. I don't understand whats going on with that? Ive never ran into that problem until today. Ive used different SS towels and sprays such as M135, M34 with all the same results, small tiny hairs. I can post up some pics if that were to help.

Is it the paint or the towels? Or am I just going insane.

what do you wash your towels with?? maybe a pet blanket was washed before your towels and it was left in the walls of the washer?? Good question though.
    Fergy-

You're only as good as your last detail

You may be a little insane from being at school

It sounds like your towels. I would try rewashing them. Are you washing MF's separately from your other stuff?

I don't think your paint is growing tiny hairs

        That may be it actually.
Ill have to keep an eye out for what goes into the wash before. These hair are really tiny though, Ill try to catch them on my camera.

          Are they old?
Do you wash them with your wax towel, because that could hinder absobensy too!!
But I would stay away from washing it with linting materials. Just wash with microfiber towels.

Try washing the towels again and put it on an extra rinse cycle, and then throw some vinegar in on the extra rinse, that helps the soap from not sticking to the towel, but it may help other things as well like the tiny hairs.

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

            I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
            Remove swirls my friends.

Definitely sounds like your towels. Rewash them and see if that does not clear up the problem.
