  • New Lexus Rx330 Owner! How to Clean/Polish these?

Hi All, I am new to Car detailing and have recently bought a Lexus Rx330 2005. Please see the pics and advise how I can polish the window frame and keep it shiny like it is, also the second picture shows some sort of marks on the wiper bottom part that are not going away with Car Wash? I am using Meguiar's Gold Class Shampoo and Conditioner.

maybe you can try some Plastix on the pillars...try it in a small area first. on my 2005 Acura TL, it had really glossy pillars but when i use plastix on it, it didn't help too much...maybe even added a few. as far as the hard water maybe you can try some of this...

good luck and enjoy the Lexus!

i think the pillar is painted... so just use the regular process you do for paint.

The Pillars have clear coat on them I believe. So use a standard Polish and Wax For that.

And for actual Plastic like windshield wiper, use Meguiars Gold Class Trim Detailer

Congrats on the car, Lexus is the Best

Thanks for the replies guys. Is it ok to use NXT All metal polish on the alloy wheels, I am not sure if the wheels have clear coat on them or not. I am planning to use the NXT all metal on front grill and decals too. Please advise if that would be OK.

Please look at the pics and advice which product to use to keep the shiny, wooden finish, how to tell if wheels have clear coat or not and what to use to remove brake dust etc, also paint protection was applied to the car by previous owner last year, company was www.carbrite.com
Interior and exterior both, is it ok to use products like ColorX and NXT TechWax and something for leather. Which product to use for leather seats and the door side where it says Lexus.
One last one, what to use for dashboard to keep the shiny black look and places that have clear plastic like where the odometer is.

            Thanks

Your rims probably have cc on them
Don't use metal polish on them, APC, Multi-Clean or the like should do it
Also 135 can work, if there not to bad. also coats them for easy clean up the next time.

I use NXT 2.0 on the pillars on my RX330. My wheels are painted so I also use NXT 2.0 on them. For regular weekly maintenance I use Ultimate Quik Wax on the car after every wash and Quik Wheel Detailer on the wheels to keep them slick and easy to clean.
