  • are water spots inevitable?

are water spots inevitable? when it's sunny after it rains, i assume that's when the spots bake right on, i don't know, this is all new to me, but i have no time to wash my car while i'm at work, or after work or want to spend money for a car wash each time. when i wash my car at the end of the week, the spots are still there. my car always has wax before these situations happen.

Yes, water spots are inevitable IF you never take the time to clean them up. Water and bird messes should always be cleaned up as soon as possible to avoid any type of etching. A QD would be your best bet in these situations.

Depends on the source of the water. Rainwater doesn't tend to be as harsh or hard as water from your tap. Water from condensation that beads up in the early morning is also more forgiving than water from your pipes. This is something I deal with every morning, but I just take an extra few minutes while the car is warming up to blot the panels with a water magnet.

Also, water that dries without direct sunlight accelerating the process tends to be less of a peril than when it dries with sun lit drops of water acting as tiny intense magnifiers.

Oftentimes I can't wash the car immediately after it rains but I make it a priority to get to it as soon as possible!

One of the nice things about keeping your car clean and waxed is that oftentimes, as Black150 mentioned, you can use the Quik Detailer and some microfiber towels to quickly clean up your car.

As long as your car didn't get too dirty during the rain, you should be able to safely QD your car in a matter of minutes, depending on the size of your vehicle.
