  • The halogen Gods

Hi, I wish I had never put up a 150 watt halogen above my car!!! I feel like all my work and efforts were usless, lol. The car looks so much better than what it did, all my friends drull over it,but deep down all I can see is the image of it in my garage under the "judge" ,the halogen..Im planning on going to homedepot and getting a halogen lamp stand with 2 1000 watt'ers. Will this just add to my pain?? And can I really expect it to look perfect under the halogen Gods?? lol , thx Im starting to think Im going over board the wifey says Ive already done it,thx

Your wife might be right. Who would have guessed?

ONE 500 watt halogen will be enough.

Besure that is placed at 90 degree angle to your eye... 45 pointing into the paint, and 45 reflecting back at you.

Keep your eye parellel to the lamp. You'll see everything that way (good or bad).

    Good Luck!

    Jim
If it was easy, everybody'd be doing it!

          Hey Nvcobra,
When are we going to get to see some pictures. I have been reading your treads for the last few weeks and am curious to see what your car looks like right now. I think you have polished this cobra more than I have polished period.

lol, I know Lt1, I dont have a digital camera Is it possible to have them put my pics on cd? I have regular pics. The thing is , is that Ive dont it all by hand once washed, clayed, scratchX(whole car),DC pure polish,an 2xNXT. Then after all the reading and raving I got a PC and just been working the hood mainly using a flashlight in the dark to see my progress,I feel like a nut in my garage, thinking of taping off the windows, lol. And now since I just got a 1000 watts of "hey you have no idea what your doing" I dont know if Ill ever get it done. The car is black and I can still see marring. But I dont know if its just me not being satisfied or if what Im see is just the best it can be gotten. You have to practically lay your eyeball on the hood to see them but hey are about 1/16 to 1/32in scratches and they are smaller then MF fibers that get left on there.

              Hey,

Are your scartches all in the the same direction and/or circular? Or are some of them at right angles to one another?

If you can somehow borrow a digital camera, I really need to see a picture of what you are describing.
