  • starting and stopping polishing

when u start polishing and for some reason unknown , u have to stop.

say for a couple of hrs.

what do u do with your loaded polishing pad , and how do u restart your project.

start with a new pad ? or use the one u started with and spray with some

    pad conditioner or what ?

    thanks roger

    Re: starting and stopping polishing

I usually wash it and let it dry and use a new pad.....

Or.....set it out in the sun, let it dry and knock the old stuff out or a soft bristle brush and give 'er a spin.

    I use a new pad.

If I know for sure that the delay will only be an hour or so I put the pad(s) in sealed ZipLoc bags.

would u spray any pad conditioner on it and continue ?

        just a thought

the zip lock bag is to help keep the polish from drying out , right ?

depends on if the stuff started to dry and get hard.

I guess the cheap insurance answer would be to just use a new pad, no worries about instilling scratches that way at all
