        Re: my new shop detailing

On interior I like to always have some M40, APC, QID, and the sponge erasers from ADS

For the engine, some APC+ will work great or some super degreaser if it really dirty. Then dress with hyper dressing or all season dressing.

Tires, some will require just car wash solution, or it could need some APC.

One thing that popped into my mind about when educating customers and this is just a thought...When giving them tips on the things needed to wash their cars like the grit guard, wash mitts, towels etc. what if you bought extra for them to buy when they get their cars as on option. This way the people who dont like ordering online can get small supply from you and get started right away? Just my .02 though

That’s means the APC can be used for interior, tires and engine?fficeffice" />

Really I was planning to use APC for interior surfaces and carpet then if the interior surfaces are too dirty I will use hyper dressing is this right?

About the engine and tries I was plane to use WHEEL BRIGHTENER, so after that should I use hyper dressing?

So I need I clear guide in this so I can work in a correct way

            Thanks in advance

Wheel Brightener is a strong acid. You will want to look up some of the other threads about it, it is not a product to be careless with. And certainly not to be used under the hood.

APC can be used under the hood, for interiors, fabrics, tires, wheelwells, and loads of other things. You would wipe the surface with APC first, then dress it with HyperDressing (assuming it is a surface meant for HyperDressing).

I would probably skip the Wheel Brightener for right now, and use another wheel cleaner, you will certainly need other kinds around anyway.

I would not be so eager with the engine cleaning right away either. Just wipe the engine down for now, get a few basic details under your belt before you go all out.

When you say APC can be used Under the Hood you mean Engine ?

And when you said wipe the surface you mean only the interion surface or can be done also for the engine surface?

                  Re: my new shop detailing

Yes, you can wipe down the engine, or at least the hoses/plastic covered parts with APC, then dress them with Hyper Dressing.

Basically, you can detail an engine two ways.

                  1. After washing the car, you can just get a wet rag/cloth, and wipe the covers, and exposed dirty areas. Then dress anything you want to. This is what I do.

                  2. You can put covers over any electronic parts of the engine, like the alternator. Hose down the engine, spray it down with APC, and scrub away. Then get your hose back out and rinse. Then dry what you can, let the rest air dry, and dress the plastic/rubber. As you can tell, this is a little more involved, I don't do it. And it involves a lot of water on the engine. I wouldnt want it to be the first thing you try.
