    Re: Da?

DA is a specific polisher, a Dual Action Polisher that most detailers and members here use, followed by rotary polishers for more advanced work like removing wetsanding marks.

        Re: Da?

They're not hard to use once you learn a little technique. There is a DVD you can purchase titled "How to use the PC for Showcar Results"

DA's run about $150 new, but you can try to find one used. This guy may still have some for sale:

Thank's! I was always afraid of leaving swirl mark's or burning the paint.

Rotary vs. PC vs. Regular Orbital Buffer

And yes, that DVD is a must have. It shows the G100 model, but the G110 is very similar. It also shows a good bit of working by hand.

              Re: Da?

If you read the threads the others have mentioned and get the DVD. The chances of you burning through the paint are very slim.

I read once if your using a DA, you can burn the paint if you soak the pad in lighter fluid and light it as you polish (Kevin Brown quote).

                      Re: Da?

yeah, it was a joke, a fellow member was worried about "burning" his paint and with a DA (not rotary) bout the only way you can burn the paint is if you do what I said . You can haze the paint or end up with results you may not like but not burn the paint
