  • Flex 3403 Rotary

I've been searching for threads regarding this rotary but I cannot find any reviews. The review I have found are for the Flex DA. I was going to buy the Makita but ADS has a good deal on the Flex. I am looking at becoming more serious and begin detail for dollars so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

The FLEX 3403 is a great machine from everything I have read. The main reason most people go for the Makita or DeWalt is the lower price.

        Re: Flex 3403 Rotary

I used this machine for one week and I felt in love with it!
I have a Makita and I wanted to get rid of it and get a Flex.

Only issue I see with it is the price, that is was stopped me but other than that I love this machine. Very lightweight, smaller.

I have it, it's my go to rotary polisher.

Pro's: very lightweight and easy to use

Con's: if you are doing some heavy compounding with a large pad it will get hot

I've maybe touched my Porter cable 7428 twice since I've had this machine and that's been about a year and a half.

I was working on a black YukonXL last night with the Flex 3401 RO machine, while it was removing the deeper scratches, it would not finish down without hazing, I tried every pad/product combo I could think of. I switched to the Flex 3403 with a black finishing pad and 205 at 1100 RPM's (as slow as it goes) with maybe three dime sized drops per panel and BAM, it was flawless!

Out of all the the polishers I have, it's my favorite and go to Polisher.
