Use extreme caution! Taping is always your best friend when working with "tape striping" or painted striping that isn't clear coated. When polishing "flames" on a car that does NOT have a final clear coat on the flames.... RUN away from that job!!!!! Don't ask me how I know. It takes forever to do, by hand!
Avoid claying over or into the tape as you could loosen it. Just clay up to it and along side of it.
As for liquid products, again buff up to and along the side of a pin stripe but don't buff on the pinstripe.
Some pin stripes can take a little abuse, especially modern pinstripes but you still want to be careful around them as replacing them will just be another project to tackle.
Pinstripes and actually any kind of vinyl graphic or decal usually makes detailing a car harder and take longer. Things to think about when purchasing a new car or customizing an existing car.
