OK guys I need some help with my black truck. This truck is only a year old and has been driven in the rain one time. I keep getting these streaks after I wax. I start out with clay bar, then the cleaner/wax then, gold class or NXT. It doesn't seem to matter what I do but I continue to get these hazy looking streaks. What am I doing wrong? I have never had this happen before. I thought I was pretty detail savy until now. Any ideas?

Re: Help with streaks
Are you using a high quality microfiber towel to remove the wax? I've seen guys use cheaper ones that at almost smear the wax around rather then remove it...
Also how are you applying the wax? Thin coats?Red 99 SS Camaro - 578 RWHP 611 FT/LBS

Re: Help with streaks
I've tried new and old GC and NXT. I usually use several different micro fibers through out the process but they all seem to be high quality and I haven't noticed any areas worse than others. The first time this happened was after 2 coats of NXT, so I used the cleaner/wax to remove the holigram streaks and reapplied 2 coats of GC and it was fine. This time I went straight to the cleaner/wax then after the GC they showed up again.

Re: Help with streaks
My guess is that you are applying the wax too thick or are not allowing the wax to dry properly or both. This is, I know, an easy thing to say; but since you have experienced the streaks with both NXT and GC, I think you need to first look at your technique.Swirls hide in the black molecular depths, only waiting for the right time to emerge and destroy your sanity.

Re: Help with streaks
Do you use softner with your towels when you wash them? That could be it. I've seen NXT et al streak when removed too fast before it dries completely. Do a swipe test.
I must be getting old though on another note....
