  • Topping ColorX with M07?

    Hey guys,

Have a quick question and couldn't find anyone talking about it. I'm in Ontario, Canada and they don't have Swirlx here, so i'm looking at trying ColorX.

If I use ColorX to to take out the swirls, can I top it with M07 before a coat of NXT 2.0? or is this an unnecessary step using ColorX?

    Thanks!

ColorX wont be as strong, but you can still try it.

Since ColorX is a Cleaner/Wax, you wouldnt really need the #7.

If you decide to use ColorX you could just go straight to NXT 2.0.

You could use M07 after ColorX if you want but its not neccesary.

Too funny. A couple of people have asked this same question over the past few months. The consensual answer appears to be: yes, you can apply #7 over ColorX and then top it with NXT. Please share with us your results.

You could use M09/M82/M80 as your swirl remover, ColorX is pretty mild but if it works, hey then do it!

If memory serves, it should be fine to use M07 over the ColorX then NXT 2.0 if that's what you want to do. I have M07 but use it on single stage paints only as I don't see a huge difference if at all on our newer cars. It did shine the Yukon better than the Neon but the Yukon is older paint and just may have liked those oils getting onto it.....

ColorX topped with NXT2.0 is a fantastic combination!! I use it on my 02 dark red Saturn and the shine is deeeep and thick looking.

Great thanks guy, I'm in the process of moving, so i'll hope to give it a try at my new house in a couple of weeks.

The reason why I was opting for ColorX is that the Saturn Astra (Opel) has very soft paint. I have ScratchX 2.0 as well, so I'll be sure to do some test spots and share the results!
