  • rim pitting

    i recently started a little car detailing business and one of my clients has an f150 with aftermarket chrome rims that he let pit and get into bad shape. i have tried everything i know to make them better. i was just wondering if anyone had any other suggestions. anything will help. thank you so much

    Nothing you can do
    That's what happens when you neglect chrome: "he let pit and get into bad shape"
    Chrome is extremely hard and you can't remove any of it
    All you can do is polish it up or re-chrome them

      yeah i knew there wasnt anything i could do i was just kind of praying someone was going to produce some sort of miracle. it ***** because thats always the part of his truck that sticks out to him but there is nothing i can do

        Like I said, you can shine them up real good and it will make the pitting less noticeable

          i will take pictures this week when i clean his car. i had some turtle wax chrome polish that i was thinking about trying on them but is there any that you have experience with that is better?

            I've used mothers allot
            Used Meg's Hot Rims Chrome polish a little
            They both work great, but your going to need power to do a good job
            I recomend a big and small power ball

              Like Mario said, using a good chrome polish will make the chrome that's left look shiny but you can't remove pits and for most people, you can't remove scratches out of chrome either.


              Removing scratches and pits equals the same principal, see this thread,
