  • Newbie Questions

Hey everybody. I have waxed my Jeep before but never used a claybar or anything else before. I have been using Meguiars Clear Coat Paste Wax but just bought the NXT 2.0 liquid wax along with the Smooth Surface Claybar Kit. I use the Gold Class car wash liquid. I plan on washing and drying it, of course and then I have a few questions. Do I spray an area with the Quick Detailer and rub the clay bar on it? Then dry the spray off? Then I plan on waxing it with the 2.0, and I also got some Cleaner Wax for free and was wondering when and if I need to apply this. Thanks for the help yall.

Yes. Spray plenty of Quik Detailer onto the section your going to clay and also a little onto your clay patty. Knead the clay until you make what looks like a small round pancake about 4" in diameter.

Watch the video too, it will show you how to use detailing clay.

After you clay the paint, (usually you only need to clay the horizontal surface), you can go right to the NXT Tech Wax. Apply a thin coating, allow it to fully dry before removing it and then wipe off the dried residue using a clean, soft microfiber polishing cloth.
