    Re: little green machine?

Ive got the one with out heat but has the turbo brush. Its pretty handy for the weekend detailer but its not something I would want to use if I detailer more than my personal cars. Works great around the house also.

I usually spray APC on the carpet and use the Megs carpet brush to brush it in. Then I use clean HOT water in the LGM to extract the APC and dirt out. Seems to work great.

I actually love the LGM and use it on all of my customer's cars. If you can't afford the 700 dollar one on ADS then it's a nice option.

Don't waste your money on the turbo one though, just get the standard model.

While it probably won't hold up to someone who uses it day in and day out, it will work fine if you use it on your vehicle and family's every so often. IIRC, member DaGonz had one that lasted him for 10 years before he got another...

As Matt Said, I love my LGM.
I use it for rinsing APC off, after you take of the attachment, and for cleaning carpets and upholstery.
I think I works great and the solution and Machine itself are good for the environment!!
I only say that because of the whole Global Warming thing, and some people like that fact. I will buy products that are good for the environment, but not go out of my way to find them.

I like the heated version. The turbo brush to me is useless.

                  Re: little green machine?

I had one a while back...okay, it wasn't mine, but I used to borrow it courtesy of my father. Anyways, if I was given one I'd use it, but I would not personally put down any money for this machine. I never really cared for it and always found it a bit underpowered. But hey, maybe that's because I spent several years when I was younger detailing at the auto dealers.

Sorry for the hijack but I am to oconsidering one of these. I want to clean a sofa and a loveseat in the house and the pros charge ~125 for that job. So how good of a job does it do upholstery cleaning? Off course I will also use it in my two cars

I've used it on furniture and carpet in the home and it worked just fine. Actually since I have two dogs and a cat it gets used in the home more than it gets used in the cars. I have the standard LGM and love it. I think I've heard more recommendations for the standard unit as some don't see a need for the turbo brush or the heater. (Just use hot water).

I have the standard LGM and I love it. Here are some pics of the work I did with mine.

Due to lighting I couldn't get a good after pic of the seat bottom, but it looks just as good as the head rest.
