This may have been covered before and I missed It, But what Is bad thing about washing a car In direct sunlight other the the obvious water spot's? The reason I ask Is the place I rent does not allow washing and my parent's house has limited shade during the morning! And I cant afford a car port.

Re: Car Washing
The main reason is because the water/soap will dry while on the surface of the paint. Resulting in Water Spots on the paint and windows.
The only way to avoid this in the sunlight is to keep the car wet, which uses more water, and to work faster.
Working Faster, there is a greater chance you will miss a spot, or won't be able to focus on the proper technique.
So for the best wash, do it in the shade. Where you can take your time, focus on your technique, and not get any water Spots!Matt

Re: Car Washing
I have minimal shade too.
When I wash, I wash the wheels first and flood rinse them when done. I wash from top down and flood rinse once in a while to keep the spotting to a minimum, seems to help.Philippians 2:14 - Do all things without grumbling or questioning,
