  • Shop Vac

I was reading a few reviews about some of the vacs sold on autogeeks and it didn't seem like any of them were worth getting. Size is not an issue with me and i have been drawn to this one http://www.ridgid.com/Tools/16-Gallo...r/EN/index.htm .
Does anyone have this or know someone who does? Its only $100 @ Home Depot and it had a blower on it too, does anyone use a blower do dry? feedback friday GO!

I do not have the 16 gal unit, mine is like 6 I think. It is 6.5 hp and I love it. I would suggest this set:

Some say it is sold on the shelf at their HD, I had to get mine from HD online, it helps out alot getting in and out of the vehicle with the smaller hose that is alot more flexible.

I saw that last night and said to myself that looks familiar, must be because of your older post. I was at Lowes as well and they sold a kit similar but with WAY smaller attachements as well, one almost the size of a pen cap..

I was thinking of getting that micro kit, looks good for the detail work in the interior, and also for blowing **** out in those hard to reach areas..

Looks like a good unit. That will do some serious cleaning.

Rigid wet/dry vacs are very noisy, in my experience. Unless you don't care about having tinnitus when you are 60 (like me), you will investigage Shop Vac line of ultra-quiet machines.

I have the Ridgid 1450. Works great and is pretty quite. You can take the hose off and put it on the exhaust port if you want to blow stuff off. I've never used it to dry the car but use it to blow sawdust off the shop tools. I just might have to give it a try to blow off the car. I picked it up a few years ago for $100.

i have that one, its a good product but yes it is noisy you will need to get a muffler attachment to help with that, home depot has all the goodies for this line, enjoy

                  Re: Shop Vac

I have the 12 gallon model with the detailing kit and it does a really good job. I agree that it is noisy, but I always use ear protection.

I wonder how much those sponge mufflers help with the noise problem??
