  • Heads up to guys buying tape.

    Last time I was in Houston I went into a 99 cent store...

    They had packs of 3 rolls of masking tape for 99 cents...

    I've used it several times, and it seems to do a pretty darn good job. Its worth a shot if your tired of spending big bucks on tape....

    Just FYI... I like it alright.

    was it an off brand? how does it work for taping off the cars and coming off?

      it actually holds pretty well.... stands up to the PC pretty well... comes off clean.

        Masking tape tends to leave a residue on some paints. If you leave it on the car for an extended period of time it will cause big problems (i.e. pull off paint). There is a reason why people suggest painters tape.
        NOTE: Post count does not reflect actual detailing knowledge.

          I've never left tape on for an extended period of time actually...

          Its worked great on my Camaro and the BMW... Never had a problem.

          Just throwing that out there....
