What is the best way to remove the 4x4 stickers on the side of my truck? My truck is only a couple of months old. Does Meguiar's make any products that would help or is there something better out there?

Re: 4x4 Sticker on side of bed
Meguiar's does not make any Sticker Remover in a bottle...
Most people use a hair dryer or a heat gun, (be careful), to heat the adhesive up and peel the sticker off. Have you tried this approach yet?
If that doesn't work there's some other options but none of them are fun...

Re: 4x4 Sticker on side of bed
Best bet, if you can, would be to let the stickers sit in the sun for awhile to heat them up, and slowly peel them off. WD-40 will probably help the process. You can get any residue off with something like "Goof-Off."
The other heat option, which you have to be very, very careful with, is to use a hairdryer or a heat gun to warm them up to melt them. Hold the heat near the paint too long, and you can damage it.

Re: 4x4 Sticker on side of bed
Thanks I appreciate the help.
I haven't tried anything yet because I wanted to hear what you guys have to say before I royally screw something up.
How hot is too hot? Do I just hold the heat in one spot or do I heat up the whole area before attempting to peal the edge up?White 1967 Pontiac GTOBlack 2009 GMC Sierra SLT

Only heat the section you're trying to pull up. Just wave the heat gun back and forth across the section as you pull it. Don't keep the heat gun concentrated in one spot and you'll be okay. Slow and steady.Alex C.

Re: 4x4 Sticker on side of bed
I removed decals from an '89 Jeep Wrangler which were all over the car and I mean all over. I found the best way was to heat it up slowly with the hair dryer, then used baby oil or WD-40, then I used polishing compound to remove any residue. Now I would do all of that and then use the clay bar, cleaner wax and then NXT 2.0 wax. You should be set and not see any shadows or hint of the sticker. Good Luck.RG Curtis

Re: 4x4 Sticker on side of bed
I'd use a hairdryer on a warm setting, just to be safe.
Then a little bit of 3M adhesive cleaner dabbed on by a towel, to get the excess glue off. Then immediately wash and so on.Daily - 09 Chevrolet Colorado - Techno gray metallic

Re: 4x4 Sticker on side of bed
I'm currently removing the pin striping from a black Honda Pilot, and I find it works easiest in the sun where it gets nice and hot. Using a plastic razor blade (in my case a plastic putty knife) really helps, and the adhesive comes off with goo gone and a terry towel. My vehicle is 5 years old, so I have some ghosting, but an application of 105 and it looks pretty darn good, at least better than the nicked pin striping did. I have 1/4 of the truck done now, expecting some hot weather this weekend so hope to finish it up.

Hair dryer is great for pinstripes. I almost had the stripes in one piece when i warmed them up. You could probably get the rest off tonight.Daily - 09 Chevrolet Colorado - Techno gray metallic
