  • What should I use

I have a 1999 Cadillac Deville, peril color. It has never been detailed before. The paint is in Exellent condition. My wife uses it daily. Would it be best to use m80 with #7 or should I use UC? Can I use UC and then #7?

Well if the paint is not in that bad of condition, why use UC.
    I would probably use 80.

I am not saying that your judgement of the paint condition of your car is wrong, it may very well be in excellent condition, but from what I've seen with daily drivers over 10 years old...looks can be deceiving. From what I understand, you would always want to start with the LEAST abrasive first, so 80 would be a good choice, or even swirl-x that can be found OTC...205 is good also, has alot of good responses from users on Megs.

I would also recommend claying the car if it has never been clayed.
Claying is something that always surprises me.

I am a firm beliver in claying. It has done wonders on my '64 Bel Air and my 2008 Taurus. I am still relatively new to detailing, even though I have been useing Megs for years. I was not sure about which way to go with a lighter colored car.

Just to expound on the usage of this car, My wife and I have only had this since Oct. of last year. Before it MIGHT get out of my parents garage 1-2 times every couple of months.
