it might leave a white residue on trim that in most cases can be easily removed with detailing spray, APC, or a vinyl/rubber cleaner & Conditioner such as M40

I keep NXT 2.0 off of the trim and rubber parts and use Ultimate Quik Wax to cover these things.

        No.
If you want to protect plastic trim or rubber there are design products for it.

If it's for rubber than you can use
        Gold Class Vinyl/Rubber Protectant
Natural Shine Vinyl & Rubber Protectant

And for trim you can use
        Exterior Trim Coating
        Gold Class Trim Detailer

There are more products that can be used for it, these are just a couple very easy to find products that you can use

Thanks guys, I was asking just incase I gota tiny bit on the trim by accident while using 2.0 tech wax on paint. I wasnt asking is it safe to use on waxing the trim.

I appreciate the quick feedback. I will tape up some of the trim that might be easy to accidentaly get onto while waxing.
