How much product before washing pad?

Hi, how can you tell if your pad has too much product and needs cleaned? Ive knoticed that after about 5 or 6 applications of #83 that it starts to leave gummy blotches and smears while polishing. I use the "X" an "O" patterns of product on the pad after i prime it with QD. The first few applications seem to work in fine..or is it just soaking up into the pad? Then the 5th-8th or so applications start getting gummy and dusting..is this the when #83 is doing its job or is it to full now? Sorry for all the questions,just seems like there are so many variables! Thx

Meguiar's suggest not washing the Softbuff polishing pads but I would also be interested to know the solution to this. As the article of Mike said, it's a problem to all G-100 users. Glad you broght this up.

Hi Bri.. im using the Sonus pads at the moment and they recomend hand washing with detergent. Im just not familiar enough to know when its time to do it.
