  • First Detail Help

ffice:smarttags" name="place">Ok I am looking to do my first detail and this is what I am planning on using as the line-up. Please let me know what you think.
Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner
Deep Crystal system step 1,2 ,3 and NXT Tech Wax
Would you put the Tech wax on top of or under the carnauba wax?
Also What product would you suggest to detail the wheels and alloys?
Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

      Re: First Detail Help

If your short on time and want to shorten up your process then you could do this:

      Wash- Gold Class Car Wash
      Clay- Smooth Surface Clay Kit
Clean/Polish/Protect- ColorX, A12 Cleaner Wax, or M20 Polymer Sealant

You can stop there if you want or could top it off with a coat of NXT Generation Tech Wax 2.0

And if you have really dirty whhels or stubborn brake dust then you could use Hot Rims All Wheel Cleaner or Gold Class All wheel Cleaner.

what kind of whhels do you have anyways?

          Re: First Detail Help

          I'd skip the DC #3.

1 .Wash - Gold Class, 2 buckets, quality towels, etc.
          2. Clay - Smooth Surface Clay Kit
          3. Clean - DC1 is a good mild cleaner, you'll have to see if you want/need something stronger
          4. Polish - DC2 is a good polish
          5. Wax - Nxt 2.0
          6. Wax - 2 thin coats is best.

I tend to like the Aluminum Wheel cleaner, but the All Wheel is very good to. Just spray some on, and agitate with a soft brush.
